Thursday 23 February
Jumping with the talents of the future and international riders
The second day of competition is for our visiting jumping-devotees, with a wonderful mix of young horses, promising young riders and top international riders. There will also be slightly more focus on family entertainment and the energetic Mounted Games. The foyer will be filled with fun activities, such as crafts and face-painting, hanging out with Agria’s Pony Club, and – of course – hobby-horse jumping!
Thursday, daytime session from 10.00
Sverigeponnyn – Semi-final
Judgement Table A:Impression, Light B/0.90 m
30 keen pony-riders and their C-ponies will compete to find out which ten teams will progress to Saturday’s grand final of Sverigeponnyn.
Arena Youth Tour – Final
For the first time, the grand Spring Final of the new Arena Youth Tour concept will be held at Scandinavium. After the riders have competed in the Autumn Final at the Sweden International Horse Show, or qualified via Second Chance or Last Chance, it will now be determined just who will win the Spring Final and, who knows, maybe the bonus will be awarded, if the same rider wins both at Friends Arena and at Scandinavium.
Find out more about the Arena Youth Tour here.
Show – Mounted Games
High-energy action and lots of excitement are promised. Teams from countries such as Sweden, Wales and England will face each other in this year’s edition of the Gothenburg Horse Show’s Mounted Games.
Open practice – Dressage
The dressage teams will have the chance to taste the atmosphere in the arena for the first time this weekend during this open practice.
Lövsta Future Challenge Jumping Young Horses – Round 1
Ten of Sweden’s very best seven-year-old horses will meet ten international horses from the same age group in this timed jumping event. Take the opportunity to see a preview of which horses are in good shape to join the elite in the first of the weekend’s three decisive classes.
Thursday, evening session from 18.00
International jumping
For the first time this year, the international jumping teams will enter the arena. In a timed jumping event, they will get to know the feel of the arena and warm up ready for the challenges of the weekend!
International jumping class
A high-energy jumping class where the elite begin with a first round, with the fault-free teams then competing in an exciting jump-off.
AFTER RIDE – GOTHIA TOWERS
Finish off the day hanging out with others in the Lobby Bar at Gothia Towers
